York

Located 97 kilometres east of Perth in the beautiful Avon Valley, York is a pleasant hour and a half drive from Perth, and is one of the most charming and picturesque towns in the state.

Located on the banks of the beautiful Avon River, the town was Western Australia's first inland European settlement, and has a long history and unique past, with many of the early buildings still in use today. There is much to see, from the naturally beautiful scenery surrounding the town, from picturesque farmlands to the motor museum, plus mini golf, historic buildings and the various cafe's and restaurants.

York hosts several annual events and festivals throughout the year, including music, arts and crafts, vintage motor vehicles, plus cultural and sporting events.

A caravan park, motel, hotel and various bed and breakast establishments provide a range of accommodation services within the town.
